We pick out interesting details about the Romans and focus on things that children might have already have heard about.  This helps the children to feel at ease with the topic and so more inclined to learn.  For example:

- Hadrian's wall
- Julius Ceasar
- Brutus
- Nero
- Colosseum
- Roman baths

  and many more ...

We try hard to make sure the information covered is relevant and child friendly.

The pages in the Romans topic are filled with helpful photographs and easy to read text.  Pupils can click on all the photographs.  Clicking on the photo launches a new page (or browser tab) which then shows a larger version of the photograph.

The larger photos are great for building classroom displays or for undertaking classroom activities.

To build an amphitheatre pupils should print out pictures of the front face of the amphitheatre.  Next they should clip it onto a blank piece of paper.  Now they use a pin to create a series of dots that they can join together.  The dots are created by pushing the pin gently through the photograph in order to create the outline.  Once they have the outline they simply join the dots.  Pupils can now colour in the amphitheatre they've made or can make another all and build a 3D model!
