Teaching Resources for KS1, KS2, KS3 and Curriculum for Excellence

Our mission is to supply great teaching resources for KS1, KS2, KS3 and The Curriculum for Excellence.  We're passionate about learning and so we try to ensure that the teaching resources we provide make it easy for children to learn and for them to enjoy the experience. Although we focus on KS1, KS2, KS3 and The Curriculum for Excellence, our teaching resources can be easily used for home schooling and many other teaching environments.  

At Learning Huddle we specialise in providing topics because they are such a great way of teaching.  The same topic allows the teaching of Literacy, Numeracy, Art, Design and many other subjects.  Topics provide a cross curriculum platform that enables KS1, KS2, KS3 and the Curriculum for Excellence subjects to be seamlessly blended together: as teachers know, topics are great teaching resources.

Getting Engaged

Ensuring that students are engaged with topics has been an important part of the Learning Huddle site building process.  We've worked closely with schools and run trials in classes to ensure that the layout, style and language are just right.  For example we blend thousands of photographs into our topics.  This ensures that it doesn't matter where in the KS1, KS2, KS3 and the Curriculum for Excellence learning spectrum students are, they will always find something for them.

We talk constantly to teachers about the teaching resources they need and so we're confident in our belief that we've created the right solution.  Our topics are perfect for building collages or classroom displays and they are great when used for project work. They also work really well when used for individual lessons or courses of lessons.

Ease of use

Ensuring that Learning Huddle is easy to use has been a key part of our mission.  So we're now adding lots of worksheets and courses that give ideas about using our topics.  These Learning Huddle teaching resources can be used in a variety of ways.   It's possible to relate them directly to KS1, KS2, KS3 and the Curriculum for Excellence key learning requirements.  Alternatively, you can download the documents and customise them for your own needs.  Customising them for your school is a great option since you can save and share the results (through Learning Huddle's systems) with other teachers.

Our support for teachers goes further than worksheets.  Learning Huddle is full of material and systems to make your life simpler and your lesson preparation time shorter.  One core system we supply is an online quiz system.  This system can be simply and quickly populated with questions.  Once prepared it's easy for you to ask pupils to complete it either all at once or over any amount of time.  The great thing about the system is it doesn't get bored.  It'll constantly try to help pupils find the right answer and it'll provide you with reports showing the pupils' answers.  Learning Huddle is great for allowing close monitoring of progress in an unobtrusive manner.
